This course covers hydraulic excavator operations in the mining and extractive and civil construction industries. They include: planning and preparing for operations; operating the excavator; and carrying out post-operational procedures.

ASSESSMENT OUTCOME:

  • Drive and operate the Excavator/Mini Excavator safely to the Resources and Infrastructure Industry unit RIIMPO320E
  • Conduct Hydraulic Excavator Operations
  • Load Haul Truck
  • Perform trenching
  • Ascend and descend the bench
  • Build ramps
  • Face up benches
  • Clean areas
  • Work safely in a productive environment

Upon successful completion of this course, student will be awarded a wallet-size card* inclusive of the Nationally Accredited course information, student name and course attended date.
(* Card will be issued after full payment is received)

TRAINING DETAILS:

Start Time: 8:00 am (Please arrive 15 minutes earlier for registration and ID checked)
Finish Time: 4:00 pm
Entry Requirement: At least 18 years of age and basic level of English proficiency (written and communication)
Delivery: Face to Face training and assessment in a simulated workplace environment
Payment Mode: Cash, credit card, purchase order, EFTPOS or cheque
What to bring: 1 Photo ID (e.g. Driver’s Licence, Passport (current or expired no more than 2 years), WA proof of age card or other Australian Government issued ID card with photo)
Clothing: Long sleeve shirt, long pants, safety boots
